The quality is completely breathtaking, with foliate motifs around the border, and black enamelled Gothic lettering IN MEMORY OF around the middle. It's crafted in 18 karat gold, and bears clear London hallmarks for 1828. This ring would likely have been given to a close friend or relative at his funeral, commissioned as
